about the event
Glazed Stoneware Mug Pottery Painting ☕
Join us Monday, June 22nd from 6-8pm at our Mission Street Studio for a guided pottery painting class featuring one of our newest and most exciting art mediums... Stoneware!
You’ll learn how to layer specialty high-fire glazes to create stunning one-of-a-kind finishes with the flowing effects that have made stoneware pottery so popular. No two pieces ever turn out exactly alike, making each mug completely unique. Whether you follow our sample or experiment with your own color combinations, this class is all about exploring the magic of these specialty glazes.
Stoneware is designed to be used, not just admired. Fired at higher temperatures than our traditional earthenware pottery, stoneware is stronger and more durable being oven, microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe. This is a great opportunity to experience a brand new creative offering while creating a beautiful functional piece for your home.
