Join us for Paint Me a Story, a special program at Inspirations Ceramic + Art Cafe designed especially for toddlers and young children! Features an engaging read-aloud from a special guest reader from the community followed by a pottery painting activity where little artists can let their imaginations run wild.

Pottery Painting

Each child will paint a functional piece of pottery—a mug, plate, or bowl—from our Functional Favorites Collection, perfect for everyday use and full of creative potential. With simple samples on display to spark ideas, children are free to paint however they wish, fostering creativity and self-expression.

Parents/caregivers are welcome to join in on a project of their own, relax with a coffee from our cafe, or simply enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere. Paint Me a Story is perfect for inspiring early creativity and social connections. Please note: this is not a drop-off event.

Community Guest Readers

Each event features a guest reader from our community—local business owners, police officers, firefighters, teachers, dentists, and more! This is a wonderful opportunity for children to meet community leaders who bring a unique touch to story time, whether by dressing up or sharing a favorite book. Past readers have included a teacher dressed as a crayon and a chiropractor in a foot costume, making each story time memorable and engaging.

We’re always looking for community members to join us as guest readers! If you’d like to share a story, please fill out our Guest Reader Form below to tell us about yourself and your book choice (or we can provide one for you). We’ll reach out to confirm and discuss the details!

Tickets + Donations

To make Paint Me a Story accessible to more families, we offer tickets at a special discounted rate of $20. Each ticket includes one art project, one seat for the child, and one seat for the parent/caregiver. Donations are also welcome—whether it’s a book for story time or a sponsorship for a child who might not otherwise be able to participate.
