Fall Florals Plate
Supplies
12" Coupe Charger
Liner Brush
Round Brush
Pencil
Marker
Tissue Paper
Colors
Lime Ricky
Happy Trails
Black Lab
What A Yolk
Arizona Sun
Mellow Yellow
Tangy Tangerine
Instructions
Start by painting the entire plate (front & back) with 3 coats of Mellow Yellow. Then with a pencil, trace your template onto your tissue paper.
Once the Mellow Yellow is dry, place your tissue paper with the template on it onto your plate and center. Use the water-based marker to re-trace the template onto the plate. The marker will bleed through the tissue paper onto the plate. The marker will burn off in the kiln.
Apply 3 coats of What A Yolk to fill in the petals of the sunflowers. Then apply 2 coats of Happy Trails for the flower centers. Dab some What A Yolk in the middle of the flower centers on top of the Happy Trails.
Next, use a liner brush with some watered-down Happy Trails to make 2-3 wiggly stem lines for the orange leaves. Then do the same thing with watered-down Lime Ricky for the green wiggly stems for the red berries.
Apply What A Yolk and Tangy Tangerine both on one brush and paint on your orange leaves from the brown stems. Then apply watered-down Arizona Sun for the red berries on the green stems.
Using a writer bottle or liner brush outline your sunflower petals and centers with Black Lab. The line should look scattered & broken (not one continuous solid line).
