Instructions
Apply 2 coats of Polar Bear or Not Quite White to the outside of the mug. Then cut out the shape that Waffles the Waddler will go on and using the paper technique, wet the paper and apply it to the mug using a wet fan brush.
Using a square brush and some Orange Crush, apply 1 coat (in the crisscross checkered pattern) as seen in the picture. It’s ok to go over the paper.
Peel off the paper to reveal a clean negative white space where the paper shape was masking. Now with a pencil, trace your template onto your tissue paper. Place your tissue paper with the template on it onto your mug and center on the white space. Use the water-based marker to re-trace the template onto the plate. The marker will bleed through the tissue paper onto the plate. The marker will burn off in the kiln.
Apply 3 coats of each color to Waffles the Waddler – refer to the picture for color placement. Colors used: Pea Soup, What a Yolk, Orange Crush, Simply Cinnamon and Chocolate Moose.
Outline Waffles with Black Lab using a write bottle or a liner brush.
Apply 3 coats of Pea Soup to the inside of the mug.
Apply 3 coats of Pumpkin Pie to the handle and foot of the mug.
